Seth Edwards gets a middle name!

Here's some more details (and a link to the Edwards blog) of Seth's arrival.

Seth Titus Edwards

Seth has entered our world in person. At 05:30 or thereabouts on Sunday morning (Father's Day), Rebecca's bag of waters broke. We arrived at the hospital around 6am. Seth was born at 07:18 July 21, 2009; 7lbs. 10oz.; 21 1/2" long; blonde hair; blue eyes.

Dr. Ferguson arrived on the run in time to clamp and cut the cord that was wrapped twice around Seth's neck... and catch. Seth was a bit dusky and needed oxygen, but revived well and has done outstanding. At his 4 day check up, he had already gained back his birth weight plus 3 oz. He is a delight to all--easy going and loves to hear his siblings around him. (They also enjoy him greatly!)

Welcome to Seth Edwards - 21 Jun 2009

Seth Edwards was born @ 0718 on 21 Jun 2009. He weighed in at 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 21 1/2" long. Both he and Rebecca (the mother) are doing GREAT. Seth was 2 days over due so when he did decide to make his appearance.

The labor was relatively short. They left the house at about 0530 and Seth arrived about two hours later. The doctor almost didn't make it there in time.




Here are a few photos of the 1st day.

Mom is doing very well and feels pretty good. She looks great too.

Grandmama was very pleased and thankful that everything went well and quickly. I think I heard "Praise God" more than a few times.



Hanna was pretty excited.










Nathanael was very VERY careful and watchful of his newest brother. He was great with Seth.








Thaddeus was also pretty excited but will probably take a while to really realize what it all means.










Next is Seth being attended to by his brothers and sister and Grandmama.
